Arum Dress

I absolutely in love with my new dress. This pattern is a piece of cake!
You just need to cut 4 pieces, one for the front and three for the back, excluding the facings, and that's all; you don't need to install the sleeves as it has kimono sleeves. Depending on the fabric that you use it can be a summer dress or a spring/autumn garment, this pattern it would be in my top 5 of  my all time favourites.
As you can see, I was lucky enogh to have a little cute model to help me with the photo shot ;)
Pattern designed by: Deer and Doe

Belladone Dress - Deer and Doe

Hi!! I'm a little bit late, but I signed in on Me Made May 2015.

What is Me-Made-May'15?

Me-Made-May'15 is a challenge designed to encourage people who sew/knit/crochet/refashion/upcycle garments for themselves to actually wear and love them. The me-made and self-stitched challenges have been taking place for five years now and they work on both a personal and community level. The participants decide the specifics of their own challenge pledge, so that the month is appropriate and challenging for them (more on this below). For example, a very common pledge is for a participant to aim to wear one self-stitched or refashioned garment each day for the duration of May 2015.

I endeavor to finish some UFO'S garments that I have around the house. Specifically I would like to finish an Emery Dress, a Platain Dress (at least!).
At the same time I'll try to wear at least three times a week clothes made by me.
My MMMay 2014: here.
                                                                          ************************************************
Hola!

Floral Chardon Skirt

Hello blog world&lovely readers! I've been far away from my computer lately.
Today I present you another Chardon Skirt, I'm totally in love with this wonderful pattern from Deer and Doe!
For this version I've used a fabric which seems an obvious Liberty of London imitation. Have you ever heard about Powerty of Valencia? Not kidding! The truth is that I bought it more than a year ago, amazed by the nice drape and the softness of the fabric (ok, and the price too).
As you already can guess I highly recommend this pattern, I've been wearing both Chardons A LOT this summer.
I hope you are enjoying your July.

Hola mundo bloggil&queridos lectores!

May & Flowers

May is one of my favourites months of the year, and I've been most of the time offline.
Weddings, lots of flowers, long walks, some sunny days, the weekend's breakfast, tea with friends... are some of the best moments of these last weeks. As in winter I hibernate as a polar bear, I really enjoy staying outdoors right now. I hope you are having a nice spring too!
***The last photo is about a poem of Salvador Espriu which talks about the importance of enjoying the light of everyday, because all this moments are ephemeral.

Darling Ranges in Orange

Today I want to show you my own version of the Darling Ranges dress.
I feel like since I finished the dress I'm wearing it! The truth is that I have a soft spot for front buttons dresses!
Someday I'll love to try an sleeveless dress, like this one, but first I'd like to sew a winter version (let's see...).
This is another highly recommended pattern, the instructions are incredibly detailed and you can do a lot of modifications on it.
**Since I sew for myself I'm forgetting that people actually buy clothes, not patterns or fabric, and when I see a friend with a nice dress I just analyze the pattern. What's wrong with me?**

Aish...**

Moltes gràcies a les fotògrafes! Ange&Ester

A wonderful mirror

Today I've been walking around Girona with my sister, I've you been following the blog for a while maybe you already know that I'm in love with this city, you can see more here and here. There was a wonderful light, perfect for taking photos. The streets were quite crowded and there were a lot of different fairs (drawing, antiquities, crafts...). Tomorrow to work again, good night!

Girona temps de flors - Girona time of flowers

Guest: my sister Ester!
Girona "time of flowers" (the two first weeks of May), is the best moment to visit the city! Flowers are everywhere! Imaginative works, mostly of local designers, transform the city with colours, scents and beauty.
