Can I sew a Fall Jacket? Challenge accepted!

This morning I'm going to dedicate my time to sewing this Minoru Jacket. After this quick post I'm going to join the bodice and sleeves lining parts.

It's a huge project for me, but I must say that the instructions are very clear! When I'm in trouble I just check this sew along, which is very detailed.
I'm super excited with the idea of sewing my own fall jacket! I'll cross my fingers for not having any last minute problems with the sewing.

Esta mañana la dedico a mi Minoru Jacket, después de escribir este post voy a empezar a ajuntar las distintas partes del forro.

La verdad es que es un proyecto largo y a veces complicado, pero pasito a pasito todo se consigue. Cuando me pierdo miro este sew along (lo que viene a ser un "cose conmigo") el cual está muy detallado y con fotos of course. 

Estoy súper emocionada con la idea de coser mi propia chaqueta otoñal! Vamos a cruzar los dedos para que no haya un desastre de última hora!

Gracias por todos vuestros comentarios del último post, la verdad es que estar de vuelta no está nada mal tampoco!

Travelling around Turkey

I'm back from a wonderful holidays in Turkey! 

Nice and cheerful people, amazing food, incredible landscape... 

It's a very easy country for travelling around as a backpacker! (although it was very hot!)

Ya estoy de vuelta de unas vacaciones geniales en Turquia!

La gente es muy agradable y divertida, la comida deliciosa y los paisajes increíbles...

Es un país muy fácil para viajar sin demasiados planes previos, en plan mochillero! (dejando a parte la horrible temperatura de 45 grados!)

Marinière t-shirt

Some days ago I sewed this easy t-shirt. I modified the pattern of this dress. I finished the seams with a white bias and that's all! Tomorrow I'm going on holidays so I guess it's going to be some silent here.

When I came back I'll take some photos of my new Darling Ranges dress, a wonderful pattern!

Hace algunos días cosí esta camiseta marinera. Modifique el patrón de este vestido y añadí una cinta bias blanca en las costuras del cuello y de las mangas. Mañana me voy de vacaciones, por lo tanto creo que el blog va estar unos días silencioso. Cuando vuelva os enseñaré las fotos de mi nuevo vestido Darling Ranges, un patrón genial! 

Abuelitas Modernas en Aparté

Our July meeting! Las Abuelitas Modernas went to a French bar called Aparté. I love the atmosphere of this place, and it's in one of my favourites squares from Barcelona. We had a wonderful afternoon, I already miss them!
As some days I'm pretty talkative, I had to steal some photos from the other girls, the forth is from Raquel and the fifth from Ingrid ;)

Nuestro encuentro de julio!! Esta vez las Abuelitas Modernas fuimos a un bar francés llamado Aparté. Me encantó la atmósfera del lugar, además está en una de mis plazas favoritas de Barcelona. Como siempre pasamos una tarde genial, esta vez casi no probamos ni tes, ni cafés, ni pasteles...sino refrescos para pasar el calor. Ya tengo ganas de la próxima quedada! 
Como hay días que no puedo parar de hablar, no hice muchas fotos, por lo que he tenido que robar alguna... la cuarta es de Raquel y la quita de Ingrid.

Esta vez fuimos: Nuria, Zita, Lola, Natàlia, Raquel, Ingrid, Julia, Jess, Loly, Pepa, Neus y Mercè.

Empordà

This weekend we went to the els Aigualmolls de l'Empordà, it's a precious natural park where you can see thousands of birds and several mammals too. Sadly on Sunday a huge wildfire started some kilometres from here (not in the natural park but in the forest). If you want to check terrible images click here. I hope the fireman win the battle against fire today.

Este fin de semana fuimos els Aigualmolls de l'Empordà, es un parque natural precioso, donde se pueden observar miles de pájaros y también algunos mamíferos. Tristemente el domingo empezó un gran incendio en esta comarca, no en el parque pero sí en una zona muy boscosa, es terrible. Espero que los bomberos ganen hoy la batalla contra el fuego.
